Today, November 13th, 2008, we’re opening Vanno to the general public. We think it’s particularly apropos to do so at the present time, given the obvious need for more broad insight into, and scrutiny of, the many companies that affect our lives.
For those of you who haven’t heard about us yet, we’re a place where people can share their opinions and insights into the companies with which they are familiar, and turn those insights into a quantitative, authoritative company reputation index.
We simultaneously track 25 aspects of reputation – including customer and employee satisfaction, product safety and origin, environmental sustainability, human rights, charitable giving and corporate governance - to produce the most broadly relevant measure of public opinion about the companies we interact with or hear about every day.
Please stop by and check us out. We think there is something here for just about everyone – consumers, jobseekers, employees, businesspeople, investors, bloggers, journalists, concerned citizens and company management.
- Consumers can use Vanno to make more informed choices, and to share what they’ve read and experienced, so that their opinions can have a direct influence on the companies with which they’re familiar.
- Jobseekers can see how other rate potential employers on compensation, co-workers, diversity, job satisfaction and management. Employees can share insights into their employers with the world.
- Businesspeople can keep track of consumer sentiment around their companies, competitors, partners, and supply chain.
- Investors can research aspects of company reputation that aren’t covered elsewhere - many of which could be leading indicators of financial performance.
- Bloggers and journalists can make sure their research into the products, services, behavior, policies, and performance of of the companies they are following have a lasting influence on their reputations. They can also use Vanno as a source of timely insight into the reputations of thousands of companies – large and small, public and private, local and global.
- Concerned citizens can keep track of how companies are – and aren’t – fulfilling their responsibilities to their communities, the environment, their employees and society in general.
- And finally, Management of companies listed on Vanno can respond directly to what Vanno users are saying about their companies.
Thanks,
The Vanno Team
